Trumans ,actions on discriminations

Trumans idea on this subject. A Philip Randolph orginized a march in Washington Dc 7/1/41, was schedualed but it didnt happen that day.His goal was to end segregation in publicly funded industries.there was only one problem if 100

Roosevelt,adress discrimination

In world war 2 roosevelt organized a march in washington D.C on July 1,1941.
It was scheduled for that day but did not happen. The goal was to end segregation.
The problem for Roosevelt is that if 100,000 or more african americans show up
at this even there might be massive race riots. So his solution he signs an executive
order 8802.So the end results would be ends discrimination in the defense industry,
and creates fair employment practices committee.
